Mandata recruits add weight to team, meeting demand for TMS Go!

Ian Thompson joins the road transport software specialist in a newly created national role, which will see him take on responsibility for managing the internal sales process for the TMS Go! SaaS product and associated integrated technologies.

He brings more than five years’ senior sales and marketing experience to a role which will also see him involved in a range of initiatives geared to meeting the growth in demand for the product which launched last year.

He said: “This is an exciting, challenging new role. In particular, I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work closely with customers and new prospects, improving the whole Mandata experience through our benefits-led sales strategy.”

Mandata has also appointed a new implementation consultant to meet the increasing demand for its systems. Paul Stevens brings a wealth of knowledge in road transport planning and operations management into this busy growing team.

Jack Hall, who comes in as transport industry executive with a customer service and business development background, will be responsible for developing new business with its highly innovative cloud solution TMS Go! aimed at the smaller haulier.

Mandata, which employs 70 people across the UK, is looking to grow turnover to more than £9m in the next 12 months as it expands its national customer base.

Mark Norcliffe, Mandata CEO, said: “We’re committed to securing the very best people to support our growth, new product development programme and corporate ambitions, so it’s fantastic to have Ian, Paul and Jack on board.

“They are critical additions as we gear up for a very exciting 2019 whilst continuing to provide innovative solutions, and the best standards of service.”

Mandata’s TMS Go! customers include national road haulage operators R and G Logistics, Millett-Kirkham, PlastoSac UK Ltd, Skelchers Express, Barnack Storage and Logistics and refrigerated transport specialist Chilled out Couriers.

The company’s transport management systems, where information is centralised on one common platform, allow collaboration between departments and end-customers, and streamlining the order, planning and invoicing process; enabling hauliers to grow without the reliance on manual paper-based processes.
