Haulage operators looking to save time and simplify the traffic planning process may be keen to see the latest product offering from Mandata at the CV Show this April.
The company which develops integrated transport management software for the road haulage industry, is unveiling a new look single-view traffic pad that simplifies multiple job and resource allocation for the sector.
The traffic pad which uses ‘drag and drop’ technology, gives companies an alternate way to build and plan loads. As well as speeding up the planning process, visibility is increased – as the various elements of the traffic pad - jobs, loads and resources - can be spread across multiple screens, making the most of the additional space available.
Jim McGlynn, Sales Manager at Mandata says: “The new traffic pad will make light work of building loads as multiple jobs can be allocated to a load simultaneously and changes can be made easily. Information is filtered to allow traffic planners to see jobs that are relevant to their role – making it far simpler and quicker for them to complete the planning process.”
New functionality includes colour-coded resources which allow planners to see at a glance which resources are available to them and links to a driver calendar ensure planners see live accurate availability.
As resources are allocated, they disappear from the resource pool and loads can be allocated against vehicles, drivers, trailers and sub-contractors – accelerating and simplifying the planning process is further.
BCA Logistics, one of the UK’s leading providers of vehicle logistics services for the automotive sector has been using the new style traffic pad. Mo Rahman, IT Manager at BCA Logistics explains: “We needed a dynamic pad that allowed us to manage change more effectively throughout the day.”
“We plan jobs against 1,000+ drivers and that number is growing all of the time. With the new single-view traffic pad we can manipulate drivers and loads more dynamically and fluidly.”
Mo continues: “From a planning perspective it is so much quicker and smoother. The new traffic pad gives us greater visibility and it makes the performance of the planner more efficient. They can see jobs and available drivers and bring them all together to plan and process multiple jobs in a fraction of the time.”
Demonstrations of the new single-view drag and drop style Traffic Pad are available on the Mandata stand 3C80 in hall 3a at the CV Show and stand 730 at Multimodal – visitors are advised to book in advance by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org.
